I would use the AI feature in business meetings. It would allow me to better facilitate a meeting instead of trying to take meeting notes and facilitate. Then I can ask meaningful questions during meeting and not worry about repeating items and disrupting the flow.

I would like the live call feature and one on one. I would talk with my partner to bridge the language gap. I would also use it when traveling to better communicate with the locals.

With the W4 Plus, I would like to see how well it works in a restaurant setting talking to my wife's family. Hoping that it would pick up better than the W4 Pro to those talking around me. Also hoping that it would be able to translate the language better than my current W4 Pro.

I would love to have this to use the voice call translation. I have been talking to friends in Colombia for over 4 years now just using text messages and translating them. I would love to be able to talk to them and actually hear them. Also I would love to travel there and meet them in person. I have been invited but I am reluctant to go because of the language barrier 😕

Timekettle works in so many levels for me. I have yet to use it one on one but have found multiples uses. On a telephone or WhatsApp video call I use my ear piece and the other person who understands English but often struggles speaking English can communicate easily their own language and I hear in English . Emails and what’s app messages in a forging language I copy and paste into ChatGPT and it reads them verbally and I listen . YouTube videos or Tim tok I can listen in foreign language and my Time kettle piece translates effortlessly into English I am really looking forward to my November trip to Asia so I can use both ear pieces .

1. PICK | Choose a Feature → What would you try?

"Honestly? The AI Live Summary. I talk a LOT when I travel — with taxi drivers, food vendors, random locals. By the end of the day, I forget half of what we talked about. If W4 Plus could summarize all those conversations for me, that would be a lifesaver 😅"

2. SHARE | Picture the Moment → Where would you use it? & Who would you talk to?

"I'm thinking about this one street food stall in Xi'an. Tiny place, huge crowd, amazing food. I was talking to the vendor — asking about the spices, how she makes it, why locals love it. She was telling me stories, laughing, really opening up.

With W4 Plus, I could actually keep all of that. Not just the words — the whole conversation. Later, I'd look back at the summary and remember what she said about her family's recipe. That's the kind of memory I want to keep 🎧"

Hello, First of all, I’d like to say that I’m pleased with the W4+. I appreciate the new features, especially the phone call functionality, and it’s clear that you’ve put a lot of effort into improving the new generation. The one area where I expected a bigger step forward is translation speed. With the W4+, I expected it to be at least as fast as the W4, ideally even faster. In practice, however, the W4 still feels quicker to me. Are you planning a software or firmware update to further improve the translation speed of the W4+? Combining the W4+'s new capabilities with the W4's speed—or even surpassing it—would be a significant improvement. I enjoy using the W4+, so please take this as constructive feedback from a satisfied user who is looking forward to seeing how the product continues to evolve. Thank you, and have a great day. One-on-one translation would be my feature I'd like to try. Multi-media next. I'd use it with a conversation with my wife and her friends. They speak faster than I can understand sometimes. I'd also like to use the multi-media feature to listen to news and info not translated.

Since I’m already using the W4 to talk with my Vietnamese girlfriend, I’m sure they would be of great help when I meet her parents in November, if I can only get them to wear the other earplugs. 🤔

@Yunxuan X

I am moving to Italy soon with my husband to joing his family there. None of them speak English, so I have been bugging him about getting the W4 plus for myself to help make the transfer a bit easier as I only have a very basic knowledge of the Italian language.

How could I just pick one feature? All of them would be extreamly useful. Being able to speak with his mother one on one. Talking on the phone with his sister in real time and being able to have a real conversation. Being able to watch videos or stream things in talian and understand what I'm watching. The list goes on!

I would use this everywhere. While I'm out I can use it to make calls, speak with whoever I am with or watch something while sipping a cappuccino at a bar. For my specific situation the W4 Plus would be a game changer.

I’m living in forced migration, and I simply don’t have the resources to learn the language right now. What hurts me the most is not being able to have deep, heartfelt conversations with people I really like. My English is basic, and of course local people naturally want to speak their own language. But to truly understand the nuances of a language, especially Finnish, you need years of learning and immersion. That’s why what I want to try most is the feature where I could wear one earbud and a future friend could wear the other. Then I could finally say everything I’ve wanted to say and hear their response in a language that carries its own way of thinking and seeing the world. Because without this kind of exchange, it feels impossible to build a deep friendship. I’m a very open person and I genuinely love communicating with people. But I’m also a very intimate, close-connection kind of person. I value deep, personal conversations and the feeling of truly connecting with another person. That’s why the idea of real-time AI translation through earbuds sounds like a solution to a very deep pain for me. Thank you.

I would choose Voice Call.
My best friend Jose lives in Medellín, Colombia and I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I speak English. He speaks Colombian Spanish. We communicate every day, but only through typed messages that I have to run through AI first so they sound like real Colombian Spanish. It is time-consuming and frustrating. It feels as if there is a barrier of murky glass between us.
With W4 Plus Voice Call I would put the earbuds in, call him on Telegram or WhatsApp, speak English, and hear him in English while he hears me in Colombian Spanish. He would not even need his own pair for that first call.
The moment I picture is that first call. A warm evening here, a rainy afternoon there. No typing. No waiting. Just talking, as if someone had wiped clean that pane of murky glass. That is when our sharing and communication would finally feel crystal clear, with no separation and no barrier between us.

I cared for my World War II disabled veteran mother for 22 years, she was on a hospital ship that got hit by kamikaze. She died in my arms three years ago at 103½. I relocated to Colombia. I would have much more meaningful conversations with my boyfriend, my doctors, my physical therapists, and my new friends I make most days. Also with the authorities. Like if I get stopped on my motor scooter. finally, I'm working on forest restoration, and it would help bond with volunteers.

I’d really love to use W4 Plus during my work trips, especially at international trade shows and events. This year I attended IFA, where I often had the opportunity to speak directly with product managers and brand representatives. My English is not very fluent, especially when conversations become more technical, so having a tool like W4 Plus would be extremely useful. The feature I’d probably use the most is One-on-One Translation, because it would allow me to communicate more naturally and efficiently with people who don’t speak my language, without constantly interrupting the conversation. I’d mainly use it during trade shows, meetings and business trips to talk with product managers, marketing managers and brand representatives from different countries. I also think it would be very useful when travelling abroad in general, for example when asking for information, speaking with hotel staff, dealing with transport, restaurants or simply having a conversation with local people. For me, it would be a genuinely useful tool both for work and travel, not just something to try out of curiosity.

1. I would use W4 Plus during One-on-One Translation, Voice Call, in joint meetings.

2. I travel a lot for business and usually meeting with customers and partners. being able to understand what they are discussing and capturing conversations when multiple languages are involved would mean productive meetings. This would also be very useful in a client meeting that are remote or over zoom/MS teams.

I would use the it’s One-on-One Translation and multi media.I have recently retired and moved to Panama my Spanish is beginners level so I studied and schooled for a year now I read about the translator and it's practical use in Panama so I realized that it would be a great tool to use for my learning skills as I interact daily speaking to people who mostly know Spanish very little English it would greatly bridge the gap to understanding each other and replying without confusion it would work wonders here as I've meet a partner here and have met all the family and starting to be integrated with them this has added to my learning process but a translator would increase the understanding between us greatly as a tool to learning

I would combine the W4 Plus with electronic eye glasses that are capable of displaying text. This would enable persons who are substantially deaf to read the spoken words in English (or the language of their choice).

They could then respond in a spoken language... and have that translated as needed for the receiving person.

I hope my suggestion is understood correctly.

Hmmm, i have the W4 and the W4 Plus already. I use it to communicate with my Girlfriend who is Columbian. She does not speak German or English. Only Spanish. So we need a way to communicate. Daily communication.

When she is here we use them to talk about daily things. We use it some hours every day. When we go to Cinema she has both in her ears and she can follow the movie who is in German language. When we watch news at home she uses both to follow the news. When we meet friends from me, we use them that she understands what we are talking in German.

When i am in Columbia i use them to follow what the others are talking. And i use them to talk directly to people. The friends and family members of my Girlfriend.

We use the W4, and when the battery is empty we move to the W4 Plus and recharge the W4. And so on. Then we can use them constantly over all the day.

With my business extending across Europe, Middle East & Africa I have partners and customers using more than 30 different languages, I am thankful to already have the W4 Pro to help me in my communications. Learning multiple languages is a talent that all of us unfortunately don't have - myself included.

We all know that effective communication is a critical component in any business, we also know that making an effort to speak in the language of another shows respect, and this is crucial to establish good relations early on and contributes to effective communication. With the additional features of the new W4 Plus, having such a tool in my pocket will help me to 'communicate on the fly' (typically voice calls are more challenging than face to face), and this will not only help me to communicate effectively on phone calls, but also making productive use of my time through payback to share meeting notes with my team - this just helps me to just GET MORE DONE every day.

Hi

Timekettle Team

The W4 Plus feature I would most like to try is One-on-One Translation, together with AI Live Summary.

I already enjoy using Timekettle products, and for me the most exciting part of translation technology is not simply understanding words — it is being able to start real conversations with people I otherwise might never be able to talk to.

I have a personal interview project in mind: I would like to meet people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds and ask every person the same set of questions. I am interested in how different people answer the same questions depending on where they come from, what they have experienced and how they see the world.

Where would I use the W4 Plus?

Definitely during my travels. Travelling is exactly where language barriers become most noticeable, but it is also where some of the most interesting encounters happen.

I would also use it close to home in Schwerin, Germany, especially around the beautiful gardens surrounding Schwerin Castle. Many tourists from different countries visit this wonderful place, so it would be an ideal setting for spontaneous conversations and for my interview project.

I would like to approach people, explain my idea and ask them the same questions — even when we do not share a common language. The W4 Plus could make these conversations much more natural and personal.

The AI Live Summary would also be especially interesting for this project, because it could help me capture the important ideas and stories from each conversation afterwards.

I already have experience with Timekettle devices, including the W4 Pro and X1, so I would also be very interested in seeing how the W4 Plus performs in real-life conversations.

My idea in one sentence:

Same questions, different people, different countries and different languages — connected through one conversation.

That is exactly how I would like to use the W4 Plus.

If I had W4 Plus, you probably wouldn’t find me sitting in a boardroom wearing it. 😂 You’d find me doing something much more ordinary — and probably much more often!

As a housewife who loves travelling, my day can take me from the kitchen to the market, from chatting with someone locally to jumping on a phone call, and eventually dreaming about my next adventure. 🌏

That’s why I love the idea of W4 Plus being earbuds I can actually use every day, rather than something I only take out when I need a translation.
In the morning, I could put them in while doing chores and listen to music or take a call.

At the market, I could have a conversation with someone who speaks Chinese and actually understand what they’re telling me — instead of smiling, nodding and hoping I understood correctly! 😂

While travelling, I could meet someone in a little café, ask about their favourite local food or place to visit, and have a real conversation instead of relying on gestures and Google Translate.

And when I’m exploring somewhere new, AI Conversation Memory could help keep those conversations consistent, while AI Specialized Translation could be there when I suddenly encounter something more complicated than ordering lunch.

And AI Live Summary? I can imagine coming home after a long conversation and thinking, “Okay, what exactly did we talk about?” — and having the important points right there would be incredibly useful.

What excites me most is that I wouldn’t need a special occasion to use W4 Plus.
Music. Calls. Travel. Shopping. Meeting people. Everyday conversations. Unexpected adventures.

Then, when I hear another language around me, instead of thinking “I wish I understood what they were saying…” I could think:
“Wait… I have my W4 Plus!” 😄
For me, that’s what makes these earbuds exciting. They wouldn’t just help me translate another language they could help make my everyday world feel a whole lot bigger.
Because sometimes the most unforgettable part of travelling isn’t the place you visit — it’s the person you were finally able to talk to.

I have to Caretake my 90 year old mother-in-law but I am a US citizen now living with my Austrian mother-in-law in Austria. I speak English and she and all the health care people I deal with speak German. So I would use the W-4 Plus for my daily communications with her, doctors, nurses and most importantly the government entities that I must deal with. All of the W4's functions are super important for my daily tasks.

I am the director of religious education all my students & teachers are Spanish speaking. (I only speak English) I have done this for eight years but with some challenges. Almost all my parents are Spanish speaking & things get lost in translation. This would be great for our classes to help those that do not speak English. We also go on pilgrimages to different countries & I could use it then for travel with the group.

At 67, I’m preparing for a new chapter: moving from the UK to Cebu in the Philippines to build a life with my partner, Lyn. I’d use the Timekettle W4 Plus to help turn everyday conversations into real connections—with her family, new neighbours and people I meet along the way. I want to hear the stories behind the smiles, join in the laughter and share my own stories too. I’m keen to learn the local language, but while I’m learning, I’d love a little help finding the words that matter. My first conversation? Asking Lyn’s family about her childhood—and finally understanding the stories that make everyone laugh! At 67, there are still new people to meet, new things to learn and a whole new place to call home. ❤️

My boyfriend only speaks spanish and I only speak english. We love each other very much. Previously we could only communicate via google translate which was very clunky and did not work well. Timekettle has been a godsend. It is almost realtime, we can carry on a conversation both on the phone and also in person. I can speak with his family easily and when visiting him I can order at a restaurant like a pro. Thanks Timekettle for opening the lines of communication in our relationship, I look forward to your new products!

I need some advice regarding phone call translation with the Timekettle W4 Plus. I’m using a Samsung phone with the W4 Plus. During a regular mobile phone call, the translation mode starts and the other person can hear the initial Timekettle system message. Unfortunately, that’s where the “smart” part seems to end – the other person cannot hear my translated speech at all. What makes this even more confusing is that: * Translation works correctly when calling through WhatsApp. * On the same phone, my W4 Pro handles regular phone call translation normally. * The problem occurs only with the W4 Plus during standard cellular calls. I’ve checked the app settings and permissions, but so far without any success. Is anyone using a Samsung phone with W4 Plus and actually has translation working properly during regular mobile calls? I’d really like to know whether this is a specific Samsung/Timekettle setting, a software bug, or simply a limitation of the W4 Plus. If this is really a limitation of the W4 Plus, then it feels like a rather strange “upgrade” – a newer model where a basic feature that worked perfectly well on the W4 Pro suddenly becomes unusable. Any practical advice, working settings, or confirmation from other W4 Plus users would be greatly appreciated.

1. PICK | Choose a Feature → What would you try?

One-on-One Translation — without a doubt. ❤️

I’m an Algerian woman, and I speak Arabic and French. I recently married my husband, who is from Pakistan, and one of the beautiful challenges of our marriage is also one of the biggest barriers between our families: language.

My family speaks Arabic and French, while my husband’s family speaks a completely different language. We want our families to know each other, share stories, laugh together and build a relationship — but sometimes we need another person, a translation app, or a lot of gestures just to understand a simple sentence.

That’s why W4 Plus immediately caught my attention.

2. SHARE | Picture the Moment → Where would you use it & who would you talk to?

My husband will soon visit me and meet my family, and later we are planning to travel to Pakistan so I can meet his family for the first time.

I keep imagining that moment.

Sitting together at the same table, surrounded by people who are now my family, but who may not be able to speak directly to me.

I want to be able to ask his mother about her recipes.

I want to hear his father tell me stories about his childhood.

I want to laugh with his brothers and sisters.

I want my family to be able to speak directly with my husband too.

Not through someone constantly translating every sentence.

Just talking.

That is the experience I would love to discover with W4 Plus.

I’m a nutritionist by profession and a pastry chef by passion, and through my work and my travels I often meet people from completely different cultures and backgrounds. Food, in particular, has taught me something beautiful: you don't always need the same language to share something meaningful.

But imagine being able to remove that language barrier altogether.

If I’m lucky enough to receive a W4 Plus, I wouldn’t simply use it for one trip. I would take it with me into everyday life — meeting patients, customers, travelers, new friends and, most importantly, my two families.

And I would love to document the experience through photos and videos and share it with the Timekettle community: the first conversations between my husband and my family, my first conversations with his family, the funny translation moments, the surprises, and all those little memories that we might otherwise miss.

Because for me, W4 Plus isn't just about translating languages.

It could help translate feelings, stories, laughter and family memories.

Two families.

Two cultures.

Different languages.

One new family.

If a little piece of technology can help bring those worlds closer together, I would love to experience that journey with Timekettle. ❤️🎧🌍

The feature I would most like to try is real-time translation in a real, noisy environment.

I work as a breakfast chef in a large international hotel, where we often serve more than 500 guests in one morning. Our guests come from many different countries, and sometimes we have no common language at all.

Just recently, we had a group of Chinese guests who did not speak English, so we could only communicate by gestures. This is exactly the kind of situation where I would love to use the W4 Plus.

A busy hotel restaurant is a real challenge for a translator: hundreds of guests talking, plates and cutlery, coffee machines and many conversations happening at the same time. I would especially like to test whether W4 Plus can clearly understand the person standing directly in front of me and translate the conversation accurately despite all that background noise.

I would also use it while traveling, especially in Italy, for natural everyday conversations in cafés, restaurants and train stations.

For me, W4 Plus would not just be a fun gadget. I would like to find out whether it can become a genuinely useful communication tool in real life.

I am a taxi driver in Prague, and I regularly communicate with Czech-speaking passengers. I would really like to see these features in W4 Plus:

1. LARGE ORIGINAL SPEECH TEXT

When a Czech passenger speaks, I hear the Russian translation through my earbuds. I don't need the Russian translation to be large because I can already hear it.

What I need is the original Czech speech-to-text to be displayed in a much larger and clearer font.

The Czech passenger should be able to see on my phone exactly what the system understood. If the speech recognition makes a mistake, the Czech passenger can immediately see the wrong word and correct it.

Ideally, the original Czech text should have its own font-size control so it can be made much larger.

2. SPEAKER BUTTON FOR BOTH LANGUAGES

I would like a 🔊 speaker button next to BOTH the Russian and Czech text.

For example:

Czech → Russian:

I hear the Russian translation in my earbuds, but I should also be able to press 🔊 next to the Russian text and hear it again whenever I want.

Russian → Czech:

I speak Russian, the system translates it into Czech, and sometimes the Czech text appears but is not spoken aloud the first time. I then have to repeat my sentence.

A 🔊 button next to the Czech translation would solve this. I could simply press it and the Czech translation would be spoken immediately, without having to repeat my original sentence.

This would be extremely useful for taxi drivers and anyone communicating in a foreign language.

These two features would make W4 Plus much more practical for real-life conversations.

For me, the true tragedy of traveling or meeting someone from a different background isn't getting lost or messing up a food order—it's the stories we miss out on because of the language barrier. That’s exactly why the One-on-One Translation combined with the AI Live Summary on the W4 Plus caught my eye. I’ve always hated holding a smartphone between me and the person I’m trying to connect with; it feels like an interrogation rather than a genuine chat. I travel quite a bit and I always try to avoid the main tourist trails. I often find myself wandering into small, family-run shops, remote cafés, or local markets where English simply isn't spoken. If I had the W4 Plus, I would use it to talk to the local artisans, the older generations sitting outside their homes, and the hosts at the small guesthouses I stay in. I want to ask them about their history, their craft, and what their everyday life is really like.

Being able to share an earbud, look someone in the eyes, and actually share a laugh in real-time without awkwardly staring at a screen would change everything. And with the AI Live Summary, I wouldn't even need to worry about remembering every single detail or trying to take notes—I could just be 100% present in the moment and revisit those beautiful memories later. For me, W4 Plus isn't just about translating words; it’s about finally being able to listen to the world around me.
